Help get signatures for 3rd Party Presidential Candidates to get on MN Ballot!

This kind of grassroots signature collecting does not bind you to vote for any certain candidate but it is democracy-building and perhaps even more important then your later vote as it will give more options to MN voters.

During election seasons, people often discuss which way they will ultimately vote but in the scheme of things, their one vote might not be that important, especially if ending the US war machine matters most and the choice is between the two corporate war parties.

However, right now two anti-war candidates are running for President as third parties:  Jill Stein of the Green Party and Rocky Anderson of the Justice Party.  As neither is Republican or Democrat, they need to show Mark Ritchie 2000 valid signatures of Minnesota qualified voters in order to get on the Minnesota Ballot in November.  Third party candidates such as Rocky and Jill need to collect these signatures (on special petition forms showing their Vice Presidential candidate) and the time for doing so has now dwindled down to where they really need more help in collecting these signatures.  (I think the deadline is early August but I’m not sure of the exact date.)

If you can help Stein collecting signatures, there is a link below where you can print out the forms and get started.  (The prior signatures collected for Stein showed a different vice president so the Green Party had to start over with the new forms showing Cheri Honkala as Stein’s VP.)  If you need to get some blank forms via mail, let Jim Ivey know ASAP.

If you’d like to help collect signatures for Rocky Anderson, I can either mail you some blank petition forms or put you in touch with someone who can.

You can sign forms for both 3rd Party candidates to be on the ballot and you can help both candidates as I’m doing by collecting signatures.  This kind of grassroots signature collecting does not bind you to vote for any certain candidate but it is democracy-building and perhaps even more important then your later vote as it will give more options to MN voters.

Please consider helping.  Time is of the essence!

Click here to learn more about Rocky Anderson.  He doesn't have much time to get on the ballot and get recognized, and I hope you'll spread the good news about him.
