State agencies would be stripped of their rulemaking authority for two years, with few exceptions, under a bill that won committee approval.

Rep. Chris Swedzinski (R-Ghent) sponsors HF2211<> that would prohibit agencies from promulgating any new rules between July 1, 2012, and June 30, 2014. The House State Government Finance Committee approved the bill and sent it to the House Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee.
